Bible Study
 (N/A)

I have just recently found out about Metamorpha.com and think it is a great idea.  I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Bible Study Plan?  Also it would be great to see more posts about music and book recommendations.  Just a thought.

Thanks,

David

David, great to have you. What exactly do you mean by Bible study? Are you looking for something that takes you specifically through a book on the Bible, or something that is biblical, but deals with themes and is designed to be a study?

Thanks for the feedback on the site. We are working hard and trying to have more tools on here that are a blessing for people. We have just updated our book archive, now called the Resource Center, and were hoping that would serve as a conversation starter. We have general books we recommend, but also developmental tracks of reading on specific themes. Please check it out and let us know what you think. We are still finishing it up, so we will be adding some elements to it over the next several weeks/months.

Thanks again David, kyle

Thanks for the reply Kyle.  I was just looking for a program or study for starting to read the Bible.  Also i checked out the Resource Center.  It looks great.  Keep up the good work.

Thanks,

David

David, the first thing that comes to my mind is not a study really, but a great introduction to Bible reading. It is called Grasping God's Word by Duvall and Hays. It is an introductory text, but they have a lot of great things to say about engaging God's word from a historical standpoint. I know many people have found it really helpful. I'll let you know if I think of anything else. Blessings, kyle

Re: Bible Study

DavidB,

My favorite Bible Study plan involves reading each morning from scripture and pondering what is being said to the ones receiving it and asking myself what God is saying to me.  This might seem simple but it has continually blessed me!  Through the years I have continually struggled with how much to read (too much and I might leave no time to "marinate" & too little I might not gather enough to full understand what is said).  Blessings,

Pastor Al
