longing to connect
 (United States)

Author: Commoner

It is not easy for me to connect with people, been having that trouble since kindergarten.  I can be in a room full of people repetitvely for years and know about as much about them as the day we met.  I easily befriend people at least long enough to share the gospel with them and then get them involved in a church and then discconect.  It sounds cold but I am trerrible at socialization.  I get overwhelmed easily but I find this environment on the internet safe.  I can share my gleamings from the Word and hope someone will benefit.  I long to learn about fellowship and perhaps find someone to be accountable to without them getting so annoyed with me that they walk.  Thanks for listening. Open to suggestions.

Re: longing to connect

Greetings Commoner,

I want to invite you to relax and be who you are.  There is a place for the timid as well as those who are more open.  I want to celebrate that you do connect and share the gospel, for many do not.  Are you also a person with deep feelings and a broad prayer life?  Might you be a mystic who continually pays attention to that which is surrounding him/her and speaking up when the opportunity arises?  You seem like a person who is free sharing in this media and a person who is passionate about reaching beyond your comfort zone.

Pastor Al

I am a person with deep feelings and a broad prayer life...I am very passionate about sharing Jesus with others...for the most part I speak up when the Holy Spirit prompts me to do so.  I am way out of my comfort zone so as to learn to rely more and more on God.  I am being taught in my church to be a servant for our LORD and to live for an audience of one...Jesus....
